Some of the Google tricks you must know:Part-I

As we all know that google is one of the most popular search engine which also offers various services like youtube,gmail,maps etc..In this post we are going to see some of the hidden features that is available on google.First we are going to see some of the features that are available on google search.

Google search tricks:

• To know the current time just type “Time” in search box and click search

Example:go to google.com and type Time in search box and hit search,now you will see the current time as shown below.

Note:to findout current time in any other country just type country,state or city then followed by time and hit search.eg: india time

• To use google as calculator just type “calculator” in search box and click search

Example:go to google.com and type calculator in search box and hit search.Now a calculator will be appear at top of search results.

• To use google as money converter just type “money converter” in search box and click search..Money converter will be appear as show in below.

Keyword search trick

• site: enter your url here [eg:site:www.smarttechtricks.com]

By using site: keyword we can  set the restriction to our search results to a single domain (i,e) if we are searching like site:smarttechtricks.com,the results from smarttechtricks.com only will be appear.Serach results from other domain will not appear.

• Filetype: enter the file type [eg:filetype:pdf]

This keyword will be very usefull when we are searching for any particular file type like pdf,mp4,exe etc..For example if you are looking for science book in pdf format just type filetype:pdf science book and click search.

• related:enter your keyword here [eg:related:facebook.com]

This keyword is used to find related sites(i,e) if you are looking for any social media sites other than facebook,then just type related:facebook.com and hit search.The sites that are related to facebook will be appear in your  search results.

• define [eg:define computer]

If you are looking for any definition,just type define followed by your acronym and hit search(i,e) to search computer definition just type define computer and hit search.

• weather:enter city or country[eg:weather india].

To know the weather conditions of any country just type weather:country name and click search.

• To see the time of sunrise and sunset just type country name followed by sunrise or  sunset.(eg:saudi arabia sunrise).

Advanced  search options in google:

• To see the search results from only your preferred country just click on searchtools->country and select your prefferd country.

• To load the search results by time (i,e) if you want to see the results that are posted on last week  just click on searchtools->Anytime->past week.
• To know your search history on google just go to google.com/history.There you can see your search history of all the things that you have been searched on google(search,images,youtube,maps).

Note:To see the search history,you have to sign in to google account.
